How To Arrange A Funeral

 

When you experience a bereavement, it can be a very confusing time and often with the feeling of so much to do can be overwhelming.

We have been helping families since 1954 with our experience, sensitivity and caring approach, we are able to guide families throughout the whole process and excel in providing a personal, bespoke funeral service, whether it be our Direct funeral, Simple, or Classic option.

We will advise on registering a death, or the Coroner’s procedure when necessary, discuss your choice of funeral and liaise with the appropriate Cemetery, Crematorium, or Church, including Officiants (religious or non-religious denominations).

You will have complete control of the funeral arrangements,  we will guide you through the options available to you, such as your choice of coffin, hearse, floral tributes and refreshment venues. We are also able to offer Order of Service, memory cards, bookmarks and Books of Remembrance and prepare obituary notices, acknowledgements and arrange stone memorials. A donations box can be provided and all donations collected at either Church, or Crematorium will be handed to you directly after the funeral service.

Our Chapels of Rest at Castleford and Pontefract are available for you to visit your loved one for our Simple and Classic funerals.
