Previous owner of the fish and chip shop in Ferrybridge square and a nurse whose career spanned over 50 years, passed away peacefully at Pinderfields Hospital on April 10th, 2026, aged 80 years.
Beloved Wife of the late Barry. Dearly loved mum of Adam and mother in law of Rebecca. Loving gran of Edwin, Molly and Harry.
Very dear sister of Jack and sister in law of Anne also aunt of David.
Will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Service to take place at St Andrew’s Church Ferrybridge on Wednesday 6th May at 2.00pm followed by cremation at Pontefract Crematorium.

Sadly missed, thank you for being so close and caring when I was a nipper, fond memories throughout my childhood of your kindness and attention. You brought me a memento of the moon landing when you came back from the USA nursing. I remember the bright jewel like lights on the dashboard of your grey mini, making bread with Aunt Sally (your mum) on Arncliffe Drive, helping out at the fish and chip shop with you and Uncle Barry. I was just getting to know you again when you were snatched from this life. I rejoice in the love and laughter, the shared memories of happiness in my childhood. Rest well in the peace and comfort of God’s abundant Grace, sweet and dear Aunt Brenda xxx
