Eddie, Funeral Director of Pontefract, Castleford and surrounding areas, passed away peacefully on October 11th 2025, aged 93 years.
Beloved husband of Iris, dad to Dean and Simon, also a much loved grandpa, great-grandpa and a good friend to many.
Service and cremation to take place at Pontefract Crematorium on Friday, November 7th at 11.00am.

Family flowers only, donations in memory of Eddie would be gratefully received for the Prince of Wales Hospice, which may be kindly left in the box provided at the Crematorium.

I have worked with Eddie, Iris and the family for many years now. He was always the perfect gentleman and a pleasure to work with.
He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Mr Ashton was always a true gentlemen on funerals I have attended he always got out of the car and walked in front of the hearse to take it to its resting place before the congregation and famil got out of the cars the very last funeral I went to not so long ago mr Ashton didn’t look well then god rest in peace and sending love to all the family x
