Doug Wigglesworth

Of Pontefract, passed away on March 18th 2026, aged 83 years.

Now re-united with his beloved wife Maggie.

Dearly loved dad of Steve, Jill, Nick and Lee and very dear father-in-law of Gail, David and Carol, also a loving grandad and great-grandad, a much loved brother and good friend to many.

Will be sadly missed.

Requiem Mass to take place at St. Joseph’s R. C. Church, Pontefract on Monday, April 13th at 1.45pm followed by cremation at Pontefract Crematorium at 3.00pm.

Anyone wishing to attend the service, please do not feel the need to wear black, as dad was a wonderfully colourful character, and you are more than welcome to wear whatever feels right to celebrate his life.

Family flowers only, donations in memory of Doug would be gratefully received for Macmillan Nurses, which may be kindly left in the box provided in Church, or at the Crematorium.
