Passed away peacefully at Castleford Lodge Care Home on February 21st 2026, aged 86 years.
Dearly loved dad of Andrew and Ruth, father-in-law of Penny and Steven.
Also loving grandad of Jack, Annabel and Christina. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Service to take place at St Edward’s Church Brotherton on Wednesday 18th March at 12.00pm followed by cremation at Pontefract Crematorium.

My old school teacher. You know, I was looking through this site to find someone else for a friend and when I stumbled across this, my heart stopped. He was such a wonderful, kind, caring man. Top teacher! RIP Mr Hames
