Former miner at Glasshoughton and Kellingley Colliery, passed away suddenly yet peacefully at Pinderfields Hospital on 18th August 2024, at the age of 81, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the devoted husband of Joan, cherished fatherof David, Mandy, and Marie, and dear father-in-law to David. Roy was also a beloved grandad to Lisa, Gemma, Rachel, Sarah, Amy, and Junior.
The service and cremation will be held at Pontefract Crematorium on Monday, 16th September at 10:20 am.
Friends are kindly invited to attend.
The family requests no flowers, but donations in Roy’s memory would be appreciated for The Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation (CISWO). A donation box will be available at the Crematorium.
All are warmly invited to join the family for refreshments afterward at the George V, Front Street, Castleford.
